Smith Brothers Media is currently looking for an SEM Specialist to join our team, dedicated to providing valuable client services in line with our core values. The SEM Specialist’s primary function is to work with the SEM Manager to create and maintain effective digital marketing campaigns, executing strategies, and reporting on ongoing performance.

The ideal candidate for this role is creative and analytically-driven, with strong communication skills, and the ability to think on their feet. They’ll be responsible for providing creative and effective solutions to problems, getting the most out of each team members, and communicating closely with the client and other stakeholders.

Duties/Knowledge/Responsibilities:

    • Create, maintain, and manage SEO (search engine optimisation) and AdWords (PPC and display) accounts.
    • Conduct industry research for a range of clients, discovering areas of growth or opportunities for marketing, helping to create a marketing solution that meet their needs.
    • Monitor, analyse and optimise campaign performance, especially regarding lead generation.
    • Work closely with marketing teammates, external department team members, as well as independently.
    • Provide regular, ongoing reports to all stakeholders, including clients and SBM management.
    • Provide insight and analysis into recent performance, and utilise data to determine potential areas of future improvement.
    • Understand and work to a wide range of campaign budgets, resources and expectations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

      • Experience in Digital Marketing/SEM (or similar role) is required.
      • High level of analytical skill, and attention to detail.
      • Written and verbal communication skills, both inside and outside the company, and the ability to clearly communicate technical information.
      • Proficiency/experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Google Apps etc. (Experience with Project Management, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager preferred).
      • Experience with various CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal etc.), with some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or PHP being desirable
      • Ability to multitask, plan well, organise and designate time for projects.

Smith Brothers Media is currently looking for a motivated and driven part-time writer to join our team. Consisting of a tightly-knit team, our growing company specialises in online marketing. This part-time role will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience. Hourly rate will be based on level of experience and suitability of the role. Applicant must be able to start immediately.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL
  • CMS’s: Mainly WordPress, but working knowledge of other popular CMS’s
  • Experience in building responsive websites using the Bootstrap Framework (or similar front end framework)
  • Experience in Git and version control through GitHub, SourceTree or Bit Bucket.
  • Ability to use cPanel, WHM and Plesk
  • Intermediate Photoshop and Illustrator skills

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

  • Nodejs, Grunt, SASS
  • eCommerce experience
  • HTML Email development
  • Rich Media Banners in HTML5
  • AngularJS – to maintain existing build
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Working experience in WordPress

  • Be able to scope work and provide job estimates
  • Possess excellent capability to troubleshoot problems and source solutions
